Molly was self conscious because her teeth stuck out. As parents, we are pleased that early treatment improved her smile and protected her teeth.

Early Treatment
We recommend early childhood evaluation to rule out problems that can be eliminated early. It is best to see children whenever parents or their family dentist notice a problem, but on average, children should be evaluated by age seven.
Some treatment issues that may require early intervention include:
- Crossbite of the dental arches
- Tongue and finger habits
- Failure of teeth to come into the mouth
- Severe protrusions that may result in trauma
- Severe crowding preventing teeth from emerging
- Early loss of key teeth either from decay or trauma
Something wonderful is happening in orthodontics. Our newest technology allows us to delay extensive early treatment because many issues are best handled in one phase or stage. Just as early intervention can be helpful in reducing the severity of later treatment, delaying treatment, when possible, can save our families thousands of dollars in treatment fees if it can be planned for a more efficient and economic approach. It’s best to seek a complimentary consultation so that a thoughtful plan can be determined.
